The Organic Traffic Conference is a four day pre-record virtual conference offer over twenty plus top marketing experts and entrepreneurs to teach you organic traffic strategies that will attract visitors to your website and grow your website traffic and sales without paid ads.

I attended the fourth day and watch the How to Drive Organic Traffic with Influencer Outreach with Dave Schneider. Host Chrys Tan interviewed Dave Schneider, CEO and Cofounder of digital marketer software Ninja Outreach, which helps small businesses find and outreach to bloggers to grow their sales through blogger outreach. Chrys asked Dave what is definition of influencer outreach and Dave said“people that are online and have a huge following or has a lot of traffic in their websites. They are typically blogger, news journalist, or leaders in different niches.” Dave mentions that many influencer are interested in working with a reputable brands and businesses who they think their clients can benefit from because their job as an influencer is to build an audience, they don’t have the time to build a product or business. If they can work with a business whose job is to build a great product and it connects with an audience then it’s a win to win for both the influencer and the business. The influencer can bring something valuable to the audience that makes them more engaged.

Searching for an influencer that has a particular niche Dave said that “you don’t necessarily need a tool to find an influencer you could just go on Google and find someone who has reviewed your competitor but the thing in doing that is that it takes a really long time.”  It takes time to identify these influencer to validate them to make sure they have the level of audience you are looking for, find the information you need to contact them, and that's where you need to have a tool to scale it up a bit you can from instead of contacting 5-10 people you can contact 80-100 people. A tool can be helpful by just typing some key words and aggregate some people who are not relative to what you are looking for Search Engine Optimization data is going to help you speed up the process.

Developing influencer partnership are great when you connect with an influencer you want it to build a long term relationship. You want them to become a brand ambassador put them with some authority behind the product like getting a testimonial from the influencer and have it on your home page or news page. Just review the product and have them post it on their blog. Just pitch it to what they want to do whether it’s they wanting to do a giveaway or those wanting to do a review just keep it open to what they want to do.  Tell them know the benefits on what they want to do.

Host Chrys Tan also spoke to Louis Grenier who is the Content Marketing Strategist for Hotjar, a website that provides analysis and feedback on how to improve your site's user experience and performance/conversion rates. Also, Louis Grenier host of Everyone Hates Marketers podcast. Louis is a major marketing geek who believes that good marketing starts with understanding people (and not tricking them).

Chrys Tan asked Louis asked what are the most common mistakes that marketer’s do when they first start out. Louis said “digital marketer’s do is the not working on your credibility lack of credibility even if you think you are smart or you do think you’re an expert. What matters is the perception of what others think of you.”  Along with that Louis mentioned what are the five principles that he has learned in starting a marketing business.

1. Marketing with people NOT at people means you’re trying to your product someone’s throat              instead you co-create, you work with them you want to get your feedback. Continuous learn                from the market.
2. Focus on a very small audience.
3. Building a remarkable product without having a sleazy aggressive tactic to sell it.
4. Credibility, create a huge amount of confidence.
5. To just do it, don’t overthink it

My takeaways from this conference was the new tools that I am able to use in for develop traffic such as Ninja Outreach and Hotjar. As well as, having getting a refreshing perspectives in this ever changing market. Moreover, it allows me to expose myself to new opportunities in developing ideas.
