LinkedIn Education Connect

LinkedIn Education Connect Conference

On Thursday, September 27th, 2018, I had the pleasure to attend Education Connect 2018, an all-day conference organized by LinkedIn and prepared for higher education professionals.

Presented at Spring Studios in New York City the conference hosted a great line-up of speakers. The first half of the program included three experts panels that enjoyed sharing research findings and trends on the future of higher education while discussing best practices and opportunities for universities to achieve their marketing goals on LinkedIn. Some also highlighted how LinkedIn helps the current higher education system as it is a powerful tool and free platform that helps grow, foster and strengthen relationships within schools.

After lunch, the second portion of the conference offered attendants the option to participate on one of two event tracks: 1) Emerging Skills and Trends from LinkedIn’s Economic Graph and 2) Workshop: Mastering LinkedIn for Higher Ed.

I participated on the workshop sessions and learned from LinkedIn representatives how the platform helps companies, colleges and students to create a system where everyone benefits by sharing information and staying connected. LinkedIn's main objective is to function as a vessel that maintains social relationships and generates good jobs. It also aims to enhance thousands of companies and people's profiles by highlighting their achievements and valuable opportunities in the professional world.

What LinkedIn Offers:

I learned about other interesting features LinkedIn Education offers beyond just finding people’s profiles and confirming professional credentials. LinkedIn allows users to take online classes and trainings with the purpose of enabling individuals to achieve their best potential and take their professional career paths to the next level.

Besides enjoying the diversity of all attendees, the amazing food and infused beverages, I very much look forward to attending future conferences hosted by LinkedIn.
