Future Tech for Brands

Future Tech for Brands

On October 1st 2018, I had the opportunity to attend a conference at Beatwork Studio in New York to discuss the future Tech for the brands. I had the opportunity to meet and hear from professionals in this field how technologies may affect the advertising industry.

The conference included a great speakers such as  Suzana Apelbaum; Head of Creative at Google, Dan Bennet; Worldwide Chief Innovation Office at Grey; Alex Magnin, Head of Revenue for GIPHY and Richard Ting, Global CCO design. That shared their research and trends on the future of technology, while discussing the opportunities for the brands.

We heard that at Google they work at most on assistance technology and voice assistance experience to make advertising most useful and stop interrupting people. Brands can add their personality to it cause everyone now wants voice assistance experience.  Suzana Apelbaum said “many brands are creating experience for their consumers and voice will be the most usual way how brand will communicate with the consumers”.

On the conference the main topic  was traditional social media and social network. As they have mentioned The idea of knowing what your friend is doing is not going away any time soon. Social networks allows anyone to be the spokesperson for any products.

Some highlighted the potential and growth of podcast ad industry, the reason is that brands are not willing to pay more on Facebook ads and brand dont trust it anymore. Some said that might be the reason to se see shift back to traditional Media such as TV., that brands trust more.

The conference was really interesting for me as an art director to see how technology may affect the creatives and how brands can position themselves while the technology in changing so fast.
